The apartment building I live in has turned into a retirement home and
I've been allowed to stay due to the fact that my parents live here
and I've lived here all my life... Also, I'm the youngest person in
here at 41 and yeah, I'm dying here... So I'm looking to move in the
late spring..

I've noticed that some two bedroom apts in my city are coming down in
rent in not-too-bad areas, listing at around $650+hydro... I'm paying
almost $800 (all inclusive) now for my one bedroom.. (Yeah, it's
hard.. I eat a lot of homemade soup and chicken weiner wraps.. )..
Anyone have an idea how much hydro is for a 2 bedroom? It'll be hard
for me to get used to but I can do it.. :)

its 100-150 ish
gas is 45 a month

my heat is by way of gas but being on the 4th floor I get the
neighbors heat

Hrm... So I guess I'll be using the 'powersaver' feature on my AC then
if I get one that's exclusive of hydro... Thanks :)

i live in toronto, so i don't know if that makes any difference re
hydro or not. i live in a two bedroom, market value. i pay about $70
a month for hydro. it has definitely gone up since the hst was added.

the higher floor you are the more a/c you will use but at the same
time less heat as heat rises

one way I save money (I have what I think is the one of the lowest
bills in my building) I keep things on power bars and they are
unplugged when not in use

I do not have an alarm clock I use my cell phone other than once a
week charging it doubles as a clock and an alarm clock

microwave not plugged in unless using it same with coffee maker its a
pain in the butt getting used but I am and now even unplug my friends
things by habit lol
