I was told that the only place tat this type of dental in the Ottawa  area is on the Caring ave. Is heading towards Kanata? By my current dentist.

You need a dental “surgeon” and unless they’ve changed big time, ODSP/OW will only pay for freezing, not putting you to sleep
But rejoice about that, because when you are awake for it they are much gentler and you have far less pain and agony after.

If you are on ODSP you just need your heath card and you can go to any dentist that take ODSP clients. If you require your wisdom teeth removed most dentist will refer you to an oral surgeon to have them removed. Depending on how bad they are gas can be used and paid for by the dental card.

If there are any 'Brush Dental' franchises in Ottawa, I can recommend them for ODSP clients - They seem to be familiar with dealing with ODSP and know the ins and outs. I got far more dental work done there than I did at the recommended dentist of social services. Like another said, they will refer you to a specialist if needed. If a dentist does the referral it's usually covered under ODSP.
