Sunshine:  the IVR has the most recent cheque available 10 days prior to the last banking day of the month.... this month it is Oct.31st... so 10 days would make it Oct. 21 which  is tomorrow...cheers, Mike  ps so try the IVR tomorrow...

Hi,
I didn't know you could do that! I always thought you had to wait until you got your cheque to find out how much you were getting. That's great, it would help with our budgeting. Do you know the number?
Bonnie

The interactive voice responce system for social assistance:
1-800-808-2268
You'll have to set up a password and listen to lots of preambles and
announcments.
You should always check it on the 21st, for you cheque amount and the
status of your case file,
to stay a step ahead of the enthusiatic pro-active csr's that
sometimes make mistakes.
If there's a difference between last month and this, and you weren't
informed in writing, appeal it immediately with a simple note saying,
I appeal the decision to reduce my benefits for the following reason:
I have the right to be informed with two weeks notice of the reason.
Either take it to your office directly, or a postal office and have
the clerk date stamp the letter before you put it in the
envelope...then phone your csr and tell them there's a mistake on the
interactive voice responce system.
