ODSP Mississauga Office Won't Pick Up The Phone!

I left it on speaker for 50 mins, and still nothing! I started my call
at 10:11 AM, hung up around 11ish. Try calling them: (905) 897-3100

Tell me if anyone picks up

Been trying for quite a few days now, no response :(

This is unacceptable. They should have an answering machine and reply
to your message the next day.
Maybe their phone system was sabatoged.
Call the interactive voice responce system for social assistance
recipients and check your status.

You have the right to be informed in writing with two weeks advance
notice if there is a change that effects the amount of your
assistance. If the interactive system says there's a change...call
your M.P.P., and the ombudsman 1-800-263-1830

Sorry, I forgot to mention that I'm not yet on ODSP. the reason for my
call was to apply.

There is no voicemail. Call the number, and press 3, and then 4 to
reach the application line. The application line is where I'm
stuck... it rings indefinitely (I tried for 2 hours, just to account
for the possibility they were on lunch). You ONLY get transferred to
the voicemail if you hit 0 and speak to the operator. I left a
message on Tuesday, March 31... hopefully they will return my call
within a few days AT MOST. Even if they don't, I have no recourse.

ah that is different...try applying via OW and ask for a disability
exemption from the participation requirements.
You need a doctors note saying you cannot work due to __________.
The OW caseworkers can then referr you to odsp. If you can't get OW
it's still not the end of the road.
In London, for instance, at the Salvation Army Centre of Hope, OW has
a caseworker there every morning to do intakes.
Look in the yellow pages under social services and call and ask if
they can help you.
If you end up feeling like nobody will help you look on the front page
of the phone book and call the 1-800-crisis line.

I was trying unsuccessfuly for 3 weeks to get hold of an ODSP
application worker, while I got an appointment the next day when I
called the OW office. Amazing. There is something seriously wrong
with ODSP.
