The United Way exists on poverty.   No poverty.  No United Way.

What are the conflict of interest business persons doing in a government spending debate.   This should be declared illegal.   It is Immoral.

Is the United Way backing reforms

I ask you three questions.

1) Who was one of the authors of these reforms?
Frances Lankin and Munir A. Sheikh. Commissioners. Brighter Prospects: Transforming Social Assistance in Ontario

2) Who used to run the United Way?
Frances Lankin, CM PC (born c.1954) is a former president and CEO of United Way Toronto

3) What political party is this person affiliated with?
The NDP under Bob Rae won its first-ever majority government in this election, and Lankin, then thirty-six years old, was appointed to cabinet on October 1, 1990

Oh my I just gave myself a headache.

I have to stop doing this kind of stuff.

RE: business leaders calling for reform

What labour market changes have business leaders sought to promote that would improve the prospects of employment for people with disabilities? Business leaders are the source of many of our problems. They decry increases to corporate taxes. They decry the Welfare State. They refuse to better accommodate disabled workers. Yet they want us back to work.

Bob Rae joined the Liberal enthusiatically.   Maybe Lankin is a secret Liberal.   I mean they have paid her.

Hi everyone,

Has anyone in Eastern Ontario experienced recently the new changes to obtaining foot orthotics from ODSP and getting them approved? There are now new changes and policies that our workers have to go by in order for foot orthotics to be approved and for the co-pay to go through . Its kinda like how the special diet changes took place. If anyone has any insight into this issue I would greatly appreciate some feedback from any group member.

Take care
