It is called Community Start Up and Maintenance
Benefit (CSUMB). If you are single, you can get
up to $799 to move; if a family, $1500, but this
is conditional upon you not getting CSUMB in the
past 24 calendar months. I don't know about you,
but it cost me and my family almost $5,000 to
move from my townhouse in a co-op to the new
house we bought in 2004.
Also,if you think you are going to get into
affordable housing right away in Niagara, expect
to wait 6 to 8 years if you are a family, possibly
longer as a single, unless you are over 55 years
of age, then you can get a senior's apt in 2 - 3 yrs.
