I got my ODSP along with an announcement in the mail today. Starting
Nov 17, our ODSP payments - monthly and daily will be available via
direct bank deposit. Daily??? What are they ? talking about what daily
ODSP payments into your bank account? Does anyone get daily ODSP
payments?
Does this mean we get ODSP in the bank on the 17th day of each month?
I am confused. I don't think I like this idea because anyone can get
broke at the end of the month, too.
Guess I have to plan and budget differently from now on.

My interpetation is that if you require an adjustment amount due to CSUMB ESUMB MSN Special diet or an other changes the money would go into your bank account instead of you having to go to their office or wait for the mail.
This will be great for people like me who would have to plan 2 days of paratransit outings to properly deal with what is usually an ODSP error

Sometimes people get arrears cheques or adjustment cheques,
and they are usually handed out at the office. I think it would also
include CSUMB payments. All such cheques will be issued by
direct deposit, probably with a notice of direct deposit issued
to the recipient.

I dont think ODSP knows what it means. I still cannot believe when I sat in an office in Mississauga and heard the two front desk ladies who were yakking cause of course they were not busy about not having a xmas party and how people dont understand how hard they work. I would take their job anyday for that kinda money we live on meagerness and they live on ignorance.

I believe since all things money from ODSP now being direct deposited,
there might be a processing delay. My experience w/direct deposit
anything, is that there's always a delay from time/date approved/
issued v time delivered into a bank account.
Just a thought albeit not a great one.

My understanding is that once they recive and MSN benifit request,and if its approved that day, you will get it in your account that day if you have direct deposit. thats the way the windsor office explained it to me
