2021 ODPC Softball Summer League

Hello men of ODPC,

After taking a one year hiatus because of the Covid pandemic we are set to embark upon the 2021 softball summer season.   We plan to field two teams for the FAS Softball Summer League.  The FAS league entails weekly doubleheaders with each game lasting approximately one hour and we are requesting to play on Sunday late afternoons/evenings at Braddock Park and Poplar Tree Park (but may be played at other fields in Fairfax County). The amount of signups will determine how many teams we will field but we will tentatively field two teams and cap it with the first 30 to sign up. However, if we get more than 30, we will consider other options.  Games will start on the first week of July and will run for 7 weeks.  Sign up sheet is a google spreadsheet and you will not be officially registered until you sign up on the sheet AND pay the registration fee of $50.

If you do not have either, please send an email to odpcso...@gmail.com and we can make other payment arrangements.   Anyone is welcome to join the team as long as you are a regular attendee of ODPC or have intention to attend ODPC.  Our main goal for the team is to promote fellowship amongst our ODPC brothers and getting to know each other outside of church.  Sportsmanship will be expected and we will be representing ODPC, so please honorably respect fellow teammates and opposing teams.  If you are a regular attendee of another church, please sign up under the grey waitlist line and send any questions you may have to: odpcso...@gmail.com

Please use the link below for the sign up sheet.  Please fill in as much information as possible and please indicate if you are not a Fairfax County resident.  You may also sign up to be a substitute at the bottom of the list if you are willing to fill in when we need players (Registration fees not necessary).

Final deadline for registration is Tuesday, 05/18/2019 and then we will start scheduling practices in June.   We ask that you are able to participate in at least 50% of the season or (4 weeks) if you sign up for the league.  

Some folks have expressed interest in playing on Tuesday evenings as well.  If you are interested and have not yet let one of the captains know, please send an email to the POC: Kem Shin (kpa...@gmail.com) or Ben Watanabe (watana...@gmail.com)
