Mr. Subas Nayak on first row to be the BJD candidate for next Rajya
Sabha election

Bhubaneswar, 12/03/2012. Mr. Subas Nayak, ex-member of parliament from
Kalahandi is on first row for the recent Raja sabha election from
Odisha. Sources says; He has got blessing from the chief minister cum
Biju Janata Dal(BJD) president Mr. Navin Pattanaik and adviser of the
party Mr. Pyari mohan Mohapatra both.
In this phase 3 seats from Odisha are vacant after term-over of Mrs.
Sushila Tiria(INC), Mr. Rabi narayan Pani(BJP) & Mr. KIshore
Mohanty(BJD). The nomination for the seats has been open from Monday.
According to the current number at the state assembly BJD has clear
strength for 2 candidates. As Mr. Kishore Mohanty was from the western
Odisha; to become a successor from the same belt Mr. Subas Nayak is
the best option. With joining BJD just before the last general
election he fought well with Mr.Bhakta Das. To compete with congress
party at its wisdom Kalahandi and western belt both Mr. Nayak is the
best choice. His pro-people attitude and easy accesses boosting his
candidature at BJD.
