New Orthogonal Devices Discussion Forum Coming Soon

Hello everyone,

I’ve been hired over the last few weeks to set up a brand new discussion forum for Orthogonal Devices using the awesome Discourse open source software.

You can look forward to a vastly improved discussion forum that’s absolutely jam packed full of amazing features.

The idea originally was to migrate all the content from this Google Group, to the new forum, but to say this has proved challenging is a little bit of an understatement. For those technically minded the problems are, there is no API to do this, there is no direct link for any of the posts in the main page source code and the only way to do it that I have found is to do crazy things with RSS and the original MBOX files. OK, my head hurts just thinking about it, so that’s probably enough information for now ;)

At some point I would still like to work out how to migrate all this content over (read my techy brain does not like being defeated and will conquer one day!!) but in the mean time we can get going on the new forum.

Everyone who is registered here will receive an invitation to join the new forum unless you contact me to request I do not do this.

Here's what will happen:

1) The new forum will go live on Friday 31st March 2017

2) You will receive an invitation email to join the new forum

3) Click on the link in the email to accept the invitation

At the time the new forum goes live, this Google Group will be made read only.
