Job Description:

Seeking an experienced database administrator with expertise in automating database operations, configuration, upgrades, and deployments. Responsibilities include scripting to support automation of administrative tasks, backups and restores, permissions, ETL processes, and replication. Ability to work on multiple database server types is a must, including operating a replicated database environment between on-premises databases and AWS RDS instances.

Job Description:

Database administration experience with two or more relational databases. Ideally, PostgreSQL, Sybase, and/or Microsoft SQL Server.

Experience defining and managing common database objects including Tables, Views, Declarative Referential Integrity constraints, Indexes, stored procedures, and triggers.

Ability to diagnose, tune and optimize the performance of database queries

Shell scripting (Bash, PowerShell, CSH, etc.)

Experience with DB DevOps automation tools such as Red Gate, Liquibase, and/or Fluent Migrator

Ability to code and test database procedural logic such as stored procedures and triggers for multiple dialects of SQL (e.g., T-SQL, PL/SQL, Postgres, etc.)

Light-duty programming skills in one or more of the following languages: Java, Python, C#, C++

AWS Experience with core services including S3, EC2, RDS and Aurora, VPC, IAM

Familiarity with database replication technology

Process orchestration tools including Cron, Quartz, Autosys

 

Desired Skills and Experience:

AWS Solution Architect-Associate certification

Experience with AWS Database Migration Service (DMS)

Familiarity with IaC tools such as AWS CloudFormation and/or Terraform

Data modeling experience

ETL Tools such as Talend, Fivetran, and Informatica

Familiarity with Airflow
