Dori Lewis was flying up Chino Hills Parkway with lots of Blue Sky

“I want people to think of me as a talented overachiever

That I was blessed with talent

But that I worked as if I had none”

Kobe Bryant after playing his last game on April 13, 2016

He scored 60 points in that last game

It was such horrible news to hear of Kobe’s passing yesterday.  He was such a great example of how hard work in training paid off big time when it made all the difference.

Saturday’s Century started out in the soup.  Thick, grey, soup.  We all figured it would be clear right down the road in Tustin … or in Orange … but it wasn’t until mile 14 on Lakeview that it really did clear.  Then we had a great Blue Sky day for some great climbing.

My photos and videos from flying down Brea Canyon are at https://photos.app.goo.gl/dehreFVLidZQTYe57

Gary Ehrlich – 106 Miles with 5,551 Feet of Climbing at https://www.strava.com/activities/3043364496

Dan Gauldin – 79 Miles with 1 To/From Mile who wrote “Thanks for providing a fun route, esp after we punched through the overcast morning and it became a beautiful blue sky ride on a sunny day complete with views of green grassy hillsides and snow peaked mountain tops in the distance. Enjoyed riding with the group as well, opted for the bail out and had 80 miles back to the start. Thanks for bringing us together.”

Fun day on the bike “after” the fog/damp air subsided. Riding with the 2nd group and enjoying the journey is my kind of day. Thanks to everyone for coming out and riding strong.  I’ve got a LONG way to go to get my fitness back.  This was a good day of cycling.
