This Friday from 1-4, the LGBTQ Immigrant Rights Coalition of Chicago is having an Education and Mobilization Day at Loyola Law School, 25 E Pearson, floor 10.  The lectures will be in English, but there'll be a reception 4-6.  The event is free.  Read below for more information. Advocacy Summit on LGBTQ Immigrant Issues – June 29

The Chicago LGBTQ Immigrant Rights Coalition is having a free Advocacy Workshop THIS Friday, June 29, at Loyola Law, with free CLE and CEU credits (pending approval). A publicity flier and a detailed rough agenda is attached should you be interested in joining.

Please attend, and please share this information with any individuals, activists, or nonprofits who you think would be interested! It is open to the public. The recent changes w/regards to the DREAM-eligible immigrant youth will be discussed, along with the following topics:

1) What are the legal rights of undocumented LGBTQ immigrants?

2) Are there forms of immigration relief for undocumented LGBTQ immigrants?

3) What are the policies and laws that advocates should be aware of when working with undocumented LGBTQ immigrants?

4) What are current actions and campaigns taking place to support the rights of LGBTQ immigrants?
 

When: Friday, June 29, 1pm-4pm, Reception 4pm-6pm

Where: Loyola Law School, 25 E Pearson, 10th Floor Courtroom
