Dear all,
This weekend, from Saturday to Sunday, the centaur object 2002 GZ32 will occult a Gmag= 14.8 (RPmag= 14.1) star, and the event can last up to 38 seconds. It will cross the north tip of Chile and south of Peru, Bolivia, Paraguay, south and southeast of Brazil. Observations are requested from 06:30 to 06:45 UT at least.
As it is an event with a small velocity, the detection of putative secondary events is facilitated, so observations outside the 1 sigma zone are encouraged. We will observe the event from OPD and some stations in Brazil and Chile have already confirmed their participation. Reports should be sent to the
Occultation Portal.
