KamenRider Zi-O (Kamen Raida Jio) is the 29th entry of the Kamen Rider franchise and the 20th entry in the Heisei Era. The series is primarily themed around time, while also serving as a tribute to the entire Heisei Era due to being its final entry.

Time is a very abstract concept which can be defined as "the continued sequence of events within existence that contains everything that has ever happened". Time is an important subject studied within religion, philosophy, and science. The name is based on a Proto-Indo-European root word meaning 'to divide', relating how time is used as a unit of measurement in common culture.

Build Armor is Zi-O's alternate form modeled after Kamen Rider Build RabbitTank Form, accessed by using the Build Ridewatch in the left-hand slot of the Ziku-Driver. This form's visor reads "Build" (ビルド, Birudo) in katakana and its shoulder pads are modeled after Fullbottles. This form is armed with the Drill Crusher Crusher, a hand-mounted drill. This form's primary finisher is the Vortex Time Break. Build Armor first appears in Episode 2.

Ex-Aid Armor is Zi-O's alternate form modeled after Kamen Rider Ex-Aid Action Gamer Level 2, accessed by using the Ex-Aid Ridewatch in the left-hand slot of the Ziku-Driver. This form's visor reads "Ex-Aid" (エグゼイド, Eguzeido) in katakana and its shoulder pads are modeled after Rider Gashats. This form is armed with the Gashacon Breaker Breakers. This form's primary finisher is the Critical Time Break. Ex-Aid Armor first appears in Episode 4.

Fourze Armor is Zi-O's alternate form modeled after Kamen Rider Fourze Base States, accessed by using the Fourze Ridewatch in the left-hand slot of the Ziku-Driver. This form's visor reads "Fourze" (フォーゼ, Foze) in katakana and its shoulder pads are modeled after the Rocket Module. This form allows Zi-O to turn into a rocket and survive in outer space. This form's primary finisher is the Limit Time Break. Fourze Armor first appears in Episode 5.

Gaim Armor is Zi-O's alternate form modeled after Kamen Rider Gaim Orange Arms, accessed by using the Gaim Ridewatch in the left-hand slot of the Ziku-Driver. This form's visor reads "Gaim" (ガイム, Gaimu) in katakana and its shoulder pads are modeled after the Orange Lockseed. This form is armed with six Daidaimaru Z. This form's primary finisher is the Squash Time Break. Gaim Armor first appears in Episode 11.

Ghost Armor is Zi-O's alternate form modeled after Kamen Rider Ghost Ore Damashii, accessed by using the Ghost Ridewatch in the left-hand slot of the Ziku-Driver. This form's visor reads "Ghost" (ゴースト, Gosuto) in katakana and its shoulder pads are modeled after Eyecons. This form's primary finisher is the Omega Time Break. Ghost Armor exclusively appears in Episode 13.

Kuuga Armor is Zi-O's alternate form modeled after Kamen Rider Kuuga Mighty Form, accessed by using the Kuuga Ridewatch in the left-hand slot of the Ziku-Driver. This form's visor reads "Kuuga" (クウガ, Kuga) in katakana. This form's primary finisher is the Mighty Time Break. Kuuga Armor first appears in the movie Heisei Generations Forever before appearing in Episode 33 of the main series.

Woz Armor is Zi-O's stageshow form modeled after Kamen Rider Woz, accessed by using the Woz Ridewatch in the left-hand slot of the Ziku-Driver. This form's visor reads "Woz" (ウォズ, Wozu) in katakana and its shoulder pads are modeled after the Beyondriver. This form exclusively appears in the Kamen Rider Zi-O: Final Stage.

Decade Armor is Zi-O's upgraded form modeled after Kamen Rider Decade, accessed by using the Decade Ridewatch in the left-hand slot of the Ziku-Driver. This form's visor reads "Decade" (ディケイド, Dikeido) in katakana. This form's primary finisher is the Attack Time Break. Decade Armor first appears in Episode 14.

Build Form is the evolved form of Decade Armor modeled after Kamen Rider Build RabbitTank Sparkling Form, accessed by inserting the Build Ridewatch into the Decade Ridewatch. The chest and left shoulder read "Sparkling" (スパークリング, Supakuringu) in katakana. This form's primary finisher is the B-B-B-Build Final Attack Time Break. Build Form first appears in Episode 14.

Ghost Form is the evolved form of Decade Armor modeled after Kamen Rider Ghost Grateful Damashii, accessed by inserting the Ghost Ridewatch into the Decade Ridewatch. The chest and left shoulder read "Grateful" (グレイトフル, Gureitofuru) in katakana. Ghost Form first appears in Episode 14.

OOO Form is the evolved form of Decade Armor modeled after Kamen Rider OOO Tajador Combo, accessed by inserting the OOO Ridewatch into the Decade Ridewatch. The chest and left shoulder read "Tajador" (タジャドル, Tajadoru) in katakana. This form's primary finisher is the O-O-O-OOO Final Attack Time Break. OOO Form exclusively appears in Episode 19.

Ryuki Form is the evolved form of Decade Armor modeled after Kamen Rider Ryuki Survive, accessed by inserting the Ryuki Ridewatch into the Decade Ridewatch. The chest and left shoulder read "Survive" (サバイブ, Sabaibu) in katakana. This form's primary finisher is the Ry-Ry-Ry-Ryuki Final Attack Time Break. Ryuki Form exclusively appears in the special Rider Time: Kamen Rider Ryuki Episode 3.

Faiz Form is the evolved form of Decade Armor modeled after Kamen Rider Faiz Axel Form, accessed by inserting the Faiz Ridewatch into the Decade Ridewatch. The chest and left shoulder read "Axel" (アクセル, Akuseru) in katakana. Faiz Form is exclusive to the Kamen Rider Buttobasoul video game and the SO-DO toyline.

Saber Form is the evolved form of Decade Armor modeled after Kamen Rider Saber Brave Dragon, accessed by inserting the Saber Ridewatch into the Decade Ridewatch. The chest and left shoulder read "Brave Dragon" (ブレイブドラゴン, Bureibu Doragon) in katakana. This form's primary finisher is the Ka-Ka-Ka-Kamen Rider Final Attack Time Break. Saber Form exclusively appears in the special Rider Time: Kamen Rider Zi-O VS Decade - 7 of Zi-O! Episode 3.

Zi-O II is Zi-O's super form accessed by using the Zi-O Ridewatch II in both slots of the Ziku-Driver. In this form, Zi-O can manipulate time and can see into the future to predict their movements. This form's primary finisher is the Twice Time Break. Zi-O II first appears in Episode 22.

Zi-O Trinity is Zi-O's fusion form accessed by using the Zi-O Trinity Ridewatch in the left-hand slot of the Ziku-Driver. This form fuses Geiz and Woz onto Zi-O's body as armor, granting him access to the abilities and weaponry of all 3 components. This form's primary finisher is the Trinity Time Break Burst Explosion. Zi-O Trinity first appears in Episode 30.

Grand Zi-O is Zi-O's Final Form accessed by using the Grand Zi-O Ridewatch in the left-hand slot of the Ziku-Driver. This form wields the power of all 20 primary Heisei Kamen Riders, with statues of them adorning his body. Tapping one of these statues once creates a time portal that summons the selected Kamen Rider from any moment in their timeline while tapping it twice summons a weapon that Kamen Rider wielded. This form's primary finisher is the All Twenty Time Break. Grand Zi-O first appears in Episode 39.

Oma Zi-O is Zi-O's alternate Final Form accessed by using the Oma Zi-O Driver. This form wields the powers of every single Kamen Rider in existence and possesses power of time, space, and reality. This form's finisher is the Oma Zi-O Hissatsu Geki (Oma Zi-O Finishing Strike). Sougo exclusively turns into Oma Zi-O in Episode 49.

Oma Form is Zi-O's movie form, accessed by using the Oma Zi-O Ridewatch in the right-hand slot of the Ziku-Driver. This form's primary finisher is the King Time Break. Oma Form first appears in the movie Over Quartzer.

Geiz transforms into his base form using the Geiz Ridewatch in the right-hand slot of the Ziku-Driver. This form's visor reads "Rider" (らいだー, Raida) in hiragana. This form's primary finisher is the Time Burst. Kamen Rider Geiz first appears in Episode 1.

Ghost Armor is Geiz's alternate form modeled after Kamen Rider Ghost Ore Damashii, accessed by using the Ghost Ridewatch in the left-hand slot of the Ziku-Driver. This form's visor reads "Ghost" (ごーすと, Gosuto) in hiragana and its shoulder pads are modeled after Eyecons. This form's primary finisher is the Omega Time Burst. Ghost Armor first appears in Episode 1.

Drive Armor is Geiz's alternate form modeled after Kamen Rider Drive Type Speed, accessed by using the Drive Ridewatch in the left-hand slot of the Ziku-Driver. This form's visor reads "Drive" (どらいぶ, Doraibu) in hiragana and its shoulder pads are modeled after Shift Tires. This form is armed with Shift Speed Speeds on its wrists which can be launched as projectiles. This form's primary finisher is the Hissatsu Time Burst. Drive Armor first appears in Episode 3.

Faiz Armor is Geiz's alternate form modeled after Kamen Rider Faiz, accessed by using the Faiz Ridewatch in the left-hand slot of the Ziku-Driver. This form's visor reads "Faiz" (ふぁいず, Faizu) in hiragana and its shoulder pads are modeled after the Faiz Phone. This form wields the Faizphone X as its primary weapon. This form's primary finisher is the Exceed Time Burst. Faiz Armor first appears in Episode 6.

Wizard Armor is Geiz's alternate form modeled after Kamen Rider Wizard Flame Style, accessed by using the Wizard Ridewatch in the left-hand slot of the Ziku-Driver. This form's visor reads "Wizard" (うぃざーど, Wizado) in hiragana and its shoulder pads are modeled after Wizard Rings. This form's primary finisher is the Strike Time Burst. Wizard Armor first appears in Episode 8.
