Parts match issue with "brand" parameter

In this request :

https://octopart.com/api/v3/parts/match?apikey=xxx&queries=[{"mpn":"bd679","brand":"stmicroelectronics"}]

The brand seems to not be taken into account.

There is something wrong with my request ?

thank you for the quick response.

$url = "http://octopart.com/api/v3/parts/match?&queries=[{%22brand%22:%22Microsemi%22,%22mpn%22:%22";

$url .= $partname;

$url .= "%22}]";

$url .= "&apikey=keyhere";

$result = file_get_contents($url);

$items = json_decode($result);

i have changed my code to the above and it seems working fine now.
