δεν γράφω για να σας θυμίσω την αυριανή συνάντηση, αλλά για να ενημερώσω για μία θέση WEB SERVER ADMINISTRATOR για αρκετά απαιτητικών εφαρμογών (αρχικά part-time με προοπτική για full-time σε μερικούς μήνες). Αν σας ενδιαφέρει μπορείτε να καλέσετε τον Κωνσταντίνο Γιάντσιο (6944 589648) για περισσότερες λεπτομέρειες. Πέρα από τον Κωνσταντίνο ο οποίος ήταν ομιλητής στο 13ο OC Θεσσαλονίκης δεν έχω άλλες πληροφορίες για τη θέση ή το project. Η περιγραφή της θέσης όπως μου την έστειλε:
The most suitable candidate should have the following essential skills and education/ experience requirements:
· University degree in Information Technology, or in equivalent area.
· Proficiency in both oral and written English language
· Strong interpersonal skills and flexible communication in order to communicate standards and effectively work with Database Administrators and Development teams worldwide.
· Proven ability to work effectively under pressure in a team environment
· Familiarity with a variety of enterprise management tools and software.
· Strong commitment to setting goals and achieving results.
· Web Server, Host and Network Security
· Proven relevant experience of at least 5 years in management, administration and maintenance of medium to large size MySQL production databases.
· Database creation, deployment, patching, “mirroring" and Disaster Recovery (DR) techniques (Replication, Log Shipping, and Mirroring).
· Daily database auditing, health checking (Performance Monitor, Profiler), housekeeping activities, monitoring, tuning and troubleshooting.
· Database upgrades to newer versions.
· Migration of databases between different instances as well as transporting data between databases (DTS, SSIS).
· Backup and recovery procedures (e.g. Full, Differential, or Transaction log, restores etc.).
· A good understanding of network fundamentals relevant to server administration and troubleshooting (DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP routing) is also required.
· Administration of user access and group policy
· Administration,Installation,configuration and troubleshooting of asp based apps, flash based app
· Install patches and maintain antivirus software
· Schedule tasks and create or troubleshoot script/batch files
· Review server logs, performance data, and perform other troubleshooting
· Build and configure servers and server templates
· Good Experience with Active Directory Certificate Services (SSL etc.)
