Dear fellow rider:

I've been a member of multiple women's riding clubs for a couple of decades, so I know first-hand how important events are to a club. The opportunity to ride together, learn together, meet new people and form lifelong friendships and memories is what makes being a club member so worthwhile.

I hope your club will join us for the 2012 American Motorcyclist Association International Women & Motorcycling Conference, July 26-29 in Carson City, Nevada.

This year's conference theme, "Ride Well," focuses on rider preparation, safety, fitness and health. Set against the backdrop of the breathtaking Sierra Nevada, the 2012 event has all the ingredients for a most-memorable experience, including inspirational speakers, great roads, demo rides, product showcases, a health fair and unmatched camaraderie.

I've listed below some things we are offering at the conference, many of which are exclusively for clubs. With all that the conference has to offer, Carson City is definitely the destination for your club this summer. Complete conference details are available at http://r20.rs6.net/tn.jsp?e=001HSy0yhdhHvAi4-JGehyFIxJczIZV7robFxyhFjsFYm4TAAbfRMFFegFOAliIFTAfJ3jPoy6bZlS9BTdwXJ0jvtkCMf7iDVr0BtU3Ba-erowHm4dmw5g5by_EK3z2sRXM.

I look forward to welcoming you and your club to Carson City!

Maggie McNally
Vice Chairwoman
AMA Board of Directors

Here are five more reasons why your club will want to be the conference:
  1. We all know how much club members love to meet, and we've got the space just for you! The AMA is setting up a private "Club Room" at the Gold Dust West Hotel, Friday through Sunday. Sign up and your club gets a private meeting time! (Room is available on a first-come first-serve basis.) Please e-mail Rhonda Hixon at rhi...@ama-cycle.org to reserve a time.
  2. Strut your stuff! Ride with your club members in our opening parade! We'll depart from the Gold Dust West Hotel at 2:15 p.m. on Thursday and head straight for the capitol. There, we'll be greeted by Carson City Mayor Robert Crowell, who will read the city's proclamation announcing that July 23-29 is AMA International Women & Motorcycling Week!
  3. We're having a showdown at the alley - the bowling alley, that is. Sign up your club for the bowling tournament at the Gold Dust West Hotel on Thursday, July 26 at 7:00 p.m. Not only will the winning club take home bragging rights, the event benefits Carson City Wellness. Clubs will form in teams of four, and we'll group individuals/extras into teams so everyone plays!
  4. There's no better way to advertise your club than with a display booth. Clubs get a 10' x 10' booth in the marketplace for only $50 for the entire three-day weekend. Included with this fee is a free listing in our conference program and on the web. Even if you don't need a booth, you can still get a listing in the conference program and on our website for just a $25 listing fee.
  5. Take it to the street - Virginia City's main street, that is. A beautiful 15-mile ride from Carson City, this iconic gold-rush-era town is the location for our Friday night street party-and the perfect setting for your club to enjoy some old-fashioned small-town hospitality at our delicious cook-out.

There is so much to do during this conference, the only thing that will be missing is time to sleep!
