What is the year, make, & model…?

For Honda, I’ve often heard that Santa Monica is the place to go to.

(Not in the Burbank area, but also definitely avoid Del Amo Cycles.)

by the way, I just took this great motorcycle repair class. I highly recommend it. The guy who teaches it is great and there are usually some women in the class. It will save you a ton of money and also give you a great resource for mechanics. The class is out by lax.
best,
anne

I own a Harley - and do most of my own work.  But, did do a google search for that area - this is what i came up with.

Moto X Wear

maps.google.com - 3511 West Burbank Boulevard, Burbank - (818) 567-2363
MotoDC is an on and off road motorcycle service and accessory shop located in Burbank, CA. We are open six days a week. We offer competitive prices and ...
www.motodc.co

don't kno any place that i would suggest - my bf did find a great repair shop in Ventura - where he lives and before the Ride In in July - i plan to take my bike in for a complete going over - its only 100 miles from Upland LOL - but i don't trust the dealerships they don't have reputable mechanics anymore:-)

Most of the time its learn to work on your own bike - or if you can find someone just continue taking it to that one shop or person. :-) GOOD LUCK

DO NOT go to Burbank Kawasaki!!!!!

Cycle Depot in Eagle Rock is very good. I think they can arrange a pick up or you could ride there and get a ride home if you plan ahead. Tell them WOW, Kim and I recommended them. They are the only place to go near by. Other wise just like Kim said the Honda in Glendale, plus Honda of Hollywood and Yamaha of Hollywood are the only shops near by. The only one I trust is Cycle Depot. They look a bit messing outside, they have a small shop and repair area but they are fantastic.

CYCLE DEPOT
1644 Colorado Boulevard, Los Angeles, CA 90041

Good luck,

Lisa Fisher

BTW- I responded to her directly then I figured the rest of you should be aware just in case you live anywhere near Burbank.

Thanks everyone. Let me add that I have a 98 Honda Shadow 600 DLX and it does need the carbs cleaned out so I'm looking for a shop that will pick up my bike. I want it readied for summer riding and some good tlc given to it. I can do this but I'm really tight on time, appropriate tools, and location at this time. Thanks so much for all the help and suggestions so far!!

I actually had a bad experience at Honda of Hollywood.  I brought my bike in for a new tire.  They changed the tire and then they told me my clutch was about to go.  I didn't feel any problem with the clutch so took a chance and didn't have them replace the clutch.  5 years later I sold the bike, clutch and all.
Never went back to Honda of Hollywood.
But I now go to Honda of Marina Del Rey.  I truly miss Hollywood Yamaha.  They were my mechanics for 25 years.

I second that. I take my bikes at Cycle Depot and they  do a great job. They just tuned my '97 Blackbird and the bike runs perfectly.
They are located on Colorado in Eagle Rock, two block west of Townsend.  The mechanics are excellent, I have been going there for more than 10 years and never got attitude from anyone in there.
