intro and advice question

Hi all,

I just recently checked out and built ocropus. I played around a
little with the extras/sample-extension and was curious if anyone had
advice about algorithms that they would like to see implemented in
ocropus that aren't currently on anyones list of TODOs?

I didn't see any of the dewarping stuff in the current codebase, but I
assume that is planned already?

Hi,

it's great that you want to contribute to OCRopus. I think the most
useful contribution right now would be additional text/image
segmentation algorithms (ITextImageClassification).

After the beta release (and the benchmarking that goes with it), we'll
have a better idea where contributions are most urgently needed.
