Can you try the iulib build with the patch at

You'll still need to use the environment variable settings.

BTW: Does macosx support pkg-config? Can you reliably find packages with it?

The only thing necessary for genAM.py is:

Find all instances of

-I$(srcdir)/imglib

and change it to

-I$(srcdir)/imglib -I$(srcdir)/imgbits -I$(srcdir)/vidio -I$(srcdir)/
utils
