How to avoid segmenting pages into columns?

Hi,

I've been figthing with ocropus-gpageseg in order not to separate my text into columns. What I want to OCR is a table, and it is needed to keep rows in one.

I've tried the --maxcolseps 0 and --maxseps 0 switches, but gpageseg made at least one separator. Or can I avoid gpageseg?
