1. Primary Elections. For several weeks we have been contemplating some final remarks of reason and encouragement to vote Dan Fisher for governor this Tuesday, June 26. A new video from our friends at FreetheStates.org makes the most eloquent case imaginable in just sixty-nine seconds. We implore you to watch this video and vote for Dan Fisher on June 26. It’s the easiest thing you will ever be asked to do to love your preborn neighbor.
We would remind voters that the other Republican gubernatorial candidates wrongly believe the state cannot criminalize abortion. For example, Gary Richardson has repeatedly stated on Facebook that “right now unfortunately abortion is legal and Romans 13:1 admonishes us to follow the law of the land. I didn’t write it; I just know how to read and understand it.”
Our friend Dr. Pierce has cogently outlined the results of this flawed view: “If they tell you to turn in your guns, you turn in your guns. If they tell you to turn in the Jews, you turn in the Jews. If they tell you to get in the boxcar, you get in the boxcar. If they tell you to allow the murder of 61 million innocent children, well...”
Furthermore, Richardson’s erroneous interpretation of Romans 13 is irrelevant, because the Supreme Court’s opinions are not the “law of the land.” The courts have usurped unlawful authority, and it is the actually the courts which have violated the law of the land (our constitutions). OCPAC hosted a presentation on the Myth of Judicial Supremacy just last week.
In another race, OCPAC recently voted to endorse Jason Pedraza in House District 46 in Cleveland County.
2. Oklahoma “Supreme” Court. Speaking of rogue courts which need to be brought to heel, the Oklahoma Supreme Court just used a technicality to reject the petition of Oklahoma citizens to repeal the most onerous tax hike in state history. Unfortunately, too many citizens believe the lie that tax hikes are necessary for teacher raises and that court opinions are supreme. Oklahoma Supreme Court justices will continue to act like they are kings over the state until we make them accountable to the people through partisan elections.
3. Voter Guides. Please use the following tools to help guide your votes:
4. State Question 788. We have seen some great debate on social media regarding SQ 788, to create new licensing and regulation of limited cannabis use. We ask this question: Which is easier to remove, defeat, and overcome: a simple criminal statute (status quo), or an army of bureaucrats with lobbyists and billions of big-pharma dollars (result of SQ 788)? Passage of SQ 788 would inappropriately empower the state to unfairly control a new market for a select few, which would result in future cash to campaign coffers and expanded and entrenched crony capitalism.
5. OCPAC Program. On Wednesday, June 27, at noon at Mama Roja, join us to cuss and discuss the election results.
