Hi everyone,

Join us for the 12th Annual Athens Vulture Festival on Saturday, October 25th from 8 AM–12 PM at the ACC Landfill!

Hosted by the ACC Solid Waste Department, this fun and educational event celebrates nature’s clean-up crew — vultures!

The festival will feature:

  • A bird walk hosted by the Oconee Rivers Audubon Society (ORAS)

  • Live raptor shows from the Auburn University Raptor Center

  • Interactive activity booths for kids and adults

  • Guided tours of the landfill and composting operations
