April Meeting

Hi all,

Join us for our monthly meeting on April 2 at 7:00 PM at Sandy Creek Nature Center (205 Old Commerce Rd, Athens, GA). Our April meeting will be a split program featuring two engaging presentations.

In the first half, local author Bob Ambrose will present “The Blessing of Birds,” a collection of poems celebrating birds encountered in the north Georgia Piedmont. His new book, Thirteen Moons and a Day, is scheduled for publication in early spring.

During the second half of the meeting, Maya Gonzalez, coordinator of EcoReach, will speak about iNaturalist and Athens’ first-ever City Nature Challenge. The City Nature Challenge will take place April 24–27 and aims to encourage community members to get outside and participate in citizen science.
