All,
We have two events this weekend, one Saturday and one Sunday. I hope you can make one of them.

Saturday March 28th 6:00AM - 3:00PM
Field Trip to the Piedmont NWR
Join us for a field trip to the Piedmont National Wildlife Refuge near Gray, GA. In addition to migrating neotropical migrants, we hope to find Bachman's Sparrow and Red-cockaded Woodpecker.
We will meet at the Shops of South Athens Shopping Center (behind the Waffle House) on South Milledge near the bypass, ready to leave at 6:00 AM. Please arrive 5–10 minutes early. We will carpool in as few vehicles as possible. For those meeting us at the refuge, we plan to arrive at the Allison’s Lake day-use area around 8:00 AM. From Monticello, take GA-11 South through Hillsboro toward the visitor center entrance. The refuge is large, so please direct GPS units to the Allison Lake Parking Lot, specifically.
Field trips are open to the public and welcome birders of all ages and experience levels. Bring binoculars, water, insect repellent, and snacks if desired, and dress for the weather with comfortable shoes. The visitor center is closed on Saturdays, so restrooms will not be available.
For questions, contact Ed Maioriello at
fiel...@oconeeriversaudubon.org or
706-296-5275. For more information about the refuge,
