My purpose in hosting the seminar -
I have been practicing Kiiko style acupuncture for three years, and I am looking to create a small study group in Hawaii, where we meet twice a year for a seminar. As we meet and study together, we can also create a local network of Kiiko style practitioners.
I took four seminars with Monika Kobylecka teaching Kiiko style in Portland OR. These seminars were part of a series of small hand’s-on classes limited to 30 participants. Monika is an excellent teacher, and so it happened that most of the initial group of participants continued to attend the series and gained an in-depth, systemic understanding of the style.
During the classes we also gained clinical experience by palpating/treating each other, while Monika offered guidance and clarity. Monika is also a wonderful clinical teacher, clearly demonstrating how to palpate the body and find the best points and the best locations. This method of learning proved very effective to all who attended.
