Shane has been the preaching minister at Northcrest since 2009. In addition to

his work with our congregation, he has involved himself in the community of

Mexia. Shane is the President of the Mexia Lions Club, coaches boys and girls

tee-ball, and is a volunteer chaplain at Parkview Regional Hospital. He has

worked as a church planter in Waco and preached for congregations in

Gatesville, Texas, and Shepherdsville, Kentucky. He holds a Bachelor of Arts,

Master of Divinity, and Doctor of Ministry from Abilene Christian University. Kara

is in her seventh year as an assistant professor of English at Baylor University.

Shane and Kara have three children: Elizabeth (7), Peyton (4), and Levi (11

months).
