Good Afternoon Everyone

Please find attached a DRAFT agenda for the next Otago Water Safety Forum. The purpose of these forums which are held twice yearly is to co-ordinate regional initiatives so that they are in alignment with the strategic planning of Water Safety NZ and the Drowning Prevention Strategy of the ACC. During this forum we will be changing the format slight to enable more time for discussion on specific topics raised during the morning.

The intention is to pull this group of water users together to identify and meet water safety needs in the Region.

Develop water safety programmes that are specially designed for the community, share ideas, resources, safety programmes activities and resources.

I have attached for your information the Otago Water Safety Education Plan 2009 – 2012 – as time is of the essence I would be grateful if you could read this BEFORE the forum to save time, which will enable us to focus on the issues/needs on hand.

The venue for this forum is OUSA Aquatic Centre (Otago University Rowing Club), 65 Magnet Street.  The date is set for Wednesday 5^th October 2011 – time 9.30am (Registration) with a start at 10.00am finishing with lunch at 1.00pm.

Please let me know if you have any agenda items and/or you wish to speak at this forum as we welcome any new speakers or agenda items.

Please feel free to forward this email to any relevant organisation or interested party in your contact list.
