#CIC26: Join us for a week of color-related courses in Vancouver

#CIC26 Keynote Speakers Announced! Leaders in color science and technology from the Swiss Data Science Center, York University, MTT Innovation Inc., and more present the latest advancements in Superpixel segmentation, algorithms, color in filmmaking and consumer cameras, and HDR projection.

  • Opening Keynote: A Brief Story of Superpixels | Radhakrishna Achanta, senior data scientist of the Swiss Data Science Center (SDSC).
  • Colour and Consumer Cameras: The Good, the Bad, the Ugly | Michael Brown, Professor, and Canada Research Chair in Computer Vision at York University.
  • Closing Keynote: High Dynamic Range on the Big Screen | Anders Ballestad, CEO, and co-founder of MTT Innovation Inc.
  • Evening Talk ~ Color in Narrative | Andrea Chlebak, feature film colorist. Her projects include Hollywood heavy hitters like Elysium, Chappie, and The Twilight Saga: Eclipse and more.

In addition to a robust technical program, #CIC26 features two days to dive deep into color imaging and applications with the #CIC26 Short Course Program.  

The program features a variety of classes from intro to advanced allowing participants to explore new areas or gain more depth in topics from the basics "Color and Imaging" to intermediate "Variational Color Image Enhancement Inspired by Human Vision" and more. 

In addition to the 15 courses that make up the program, take advantage of workshops following the Short Course program on Tuesday, Nov. 18—join the discussion on "VR & AR: Challenges & Perspectives", "Deep Learning and  Color", and "HDR and Movie Production".
