The recent update (5 days ago) to Facebook messenger, no longer lets you Landscape mode conversations. I need to do this for work on my Iphone. All previous editions allow this. I don't think there is a way I can go back to older version of this app, it won't let me.
That drives me nuts with these phones. I love them, but if you have an issue and you are a power user, you're screwed. It would be nice if I could someone put the version back on from 2 weeks ago, that does work. This is only time where an android wouldn't have this issue.
I did send a message to facebook/meta. All you can do is send a bug report/feature. I'm only (1) person though. There should be an easy way to revert back to older version app. These things drive me crazy. Then I saw this, which says you can, but you need to pay for program
Up until today, my wristband buzzed when I got a facebook messenger msg, as well as a regular text message. Today it stopped doing that, so I went into the settings to see what's going on, and take a look at the screenshot to see why it's no longer buzzing. Any idea why? One of the main reasons I use my fitbit is to get text notifications, and if that doesn't work... well I will never buy another fitbit, that's for sure.
I am facing same issue on my s24 ultra.. notifications are working perfectly on lock screen vibrates, clear sound, message pop ups. But when using phone while unlocked no any vibration no sound no message pop up only i can see messenger logo in notification bar when someone sends message. Please Help!
So, I've tried everything. It is a Samsung issue. This started on my S23 Ultra. When I upgraded to the S24 Ultra still never get any FB notifications. I have a spare phone that is not Samsung but also runs android and I get notifications for FB just fine. I can also log in to a friend's iPhone and get notifications just fine. This is strictly a Samsung issue, and I can't get any FB notifications on any SAMSUNG phone. Has anyone found a fix?
The Beeper drama does mean that Apple users are well advised to use a different platform as their day-to-day messenger. WhatsApp would be my recommended go-to, given it does seem to focus on security and privacy above all else, and most of the people you know will have it installed. For even more secure messaging, use Signal.
Same exact issue. I'm on Windows 11 latest. Started with the native app downloaded from messenger. com. It refuses ALL keyboard input in the app. I've tried everything. I uninstalled it and installed the Messenger app from the Microsoft Store and it was working fine for about a week, and now it is also not accepting any keyboard input.
With all the media attention on Facebook's messenger app and the suggestions that it can access the data and camera functions on the Android and iPhone smartphones, it is time to consider the wisdom of apps having unrestricted access to our lives.
