I just updated one of our Dokuwikis to Igor, everything works fine, only get the notification at the
Extension Manager: The plugin repository could not be contacted. Make sure your server is allowed to contact www.dokuwiki.org and check your proxy settings. [Retry]

Exact same problem here. I'm guessing it is a bug in Igor. I upgraded from Hogfather to Igor and this problem appeared. No other server side changes and I've confirmed that the server can contact update.docuwiki.org.

Thanks for taking the time to reply, pop & turnermm. The problem is persistent, that is the error message is always displayed when I go to the Extension Manager page. I can access update.dokuwiki.org from the server; this is the output of curl:
$ curl
curl: (60) SSL certificate problem: certificate has expired
More details here:

curl failed to verify the legitimacy of the server and therefore could not
establish a secure connection to it. To learn more about this situation and
how to fix it, please visit the web page mentioned above.
$ curl
nothing to see here

Jobsays update.dokuwiki.org has a valid certificate and it's valid until January 24th 2023. So either something is man-in-the-middle attacking you (maybe a corporate proxy/firewall) or maybe your OS' CA certificates are out of date (though I would expect a different message from curl in that case).

Thanks for that clue about OS CA certs, I think that is involved. I did some research and it turns out that the Qnap NAS OS that Dokuwiki is running on doesn't seem to have a trusted certificate store for curl or wget, so if Dokuwiki Igor is trying to contact the plugin repository using those tools over https it would fail:
-root-intermediate-certificate-bundles-on-qnap/

Regardless though, it begs the question what changed between Hogfather and Igor in the way that it tries to contact the plugin repository that this even matters? Did it go from using a download method/API internal to Dokuwiki to calling out to OS native tools to download? Just guessing here. There is definitely no man in the middle or proxy server in my case.

Nothing changed in how the HTTP connection is made (using our own HTTP library based on PHP sockets). Maybe something changed in the way the error is communicated to the end user but I don't remember.

Rock on, that fixed it! I was sitting here thinking, wow this guy Andi knows a lot about Dokuwiki, so I clicked your avatar: "DokuWiki lead developer." Ah, that explains it ? Thanks for taking the time to help get this fixed, hope this helps others. I'm loving Dokuwiki!

Hi Guys,
I'm getting the same error after upgrading to Igor. I updated the OS (Centos7) and tried installing the certificate in php.ini as described above. After that, I can run wget and curl on from the server without any problems.

aghoras I ended up figuring out the problem. In my php.ini file, I needed to specify the full path to the certificate. I had only specified the file name and directory hoping that PHP would find the certificate using the path. Here's what my php.ini looks like (I'm not sure if openssl.capath is needed):

Hi Guys,
I still got the problem with the Extension Manager. Is changing repository.php https://www.dokuwiki.org/lib/plugins/pluginrepo/api.php to really the best solution?
Still strange to me that after a smooth upgrade this problem reveals itself.

Hm, I had similar issues on my old NAS where I have a couple of DW test instances running. Didn't worry much about it, as these are throwaway test instances in any case, and I can always install themes/plugins via the direct links.

Of course, it might be something completely different - but definitely worth checking. But you should also be careful: if your platform is so old that these compatibility issues hit you, it probably shouldn't connect to the Internet in the first place...

I have a photography business with one staff (me). Last week (so before joining this lovely platform as I started tonight) I had cold called a few businesses that follow my Instagram. Going forward, you bet I will be using HubSpot, but for the companies I cold called beforehand, will it be possible to manually set when I last emailed them?

You can not directly edit the contents of the last contacted property. However, you can retroactively log calls with dates in the past and this will update the Last contacted property for those contacts - unless a more recent activity has already been logged.

Having worked in recruitment since 2008, I have frequently experienced first-hand the drain on time and resource volume applications can have. Receiving hundreds of CVs per role is traumatic; although, even now, I haven't quite decided whether it's more or less traumatic than receiving none at all!

Now, I wasn't born yesterday and (unfortunately) I don't live in a fluffy world of luxury where I have the time to do everything; in fact, to finish the day looking like I've (badly) ran an assault course isn't a rare thing. These are busy times, I get that.

But what I can't believe is the number of times I still see on job ads the awful term "be aware, only successful applicants will be contacted" - eeeeek, it makes me flinch just writing it! Here's why I think this way:

Firstly, we're human and so are our applicants. I respect the recruiter who doesn't get frustrated by a cleaner applying for a senior sales role but at the same time, why does that cleaner deserve to be ignored - would you ignore a person on the street if they asked you something you didn't know or offered you something you didn't want? No; I think this is only standard practice on the London tube..? ;-)

It also takes no time, with intelligent automation. If you're in recruitment, you have some sort of applicant tracking system - jeez, even an excel spreadsheet if times are hard. You're reviewing a CV anyway, take a millisecond to tick a box for a bulk-regret, or copy and paste an address into BCC generic email. That extra fraction of time puts someone out of their misery and saves you the chase up emails and calls from the uber-eager. You'll be surprised at how many 'thank you's you get too!

Lastly, but probably the most commercially important, is that you never know when this person might come back into your life and what importance that will have. That cleaner you ignored earlier might not be sales material, but their son might be the best developer of his age, perfect for that new role you have, for example. They certainly aren't gonna recommend their son works with you after being snubbed, are they.

We have the same problem. After update from 1912 CU5 to 2203, Storefront shows "there are no apps or desktops assigned to you" and the event log "None of the Citrix XML Services configured for farm CDC are in the list of active services, so none were contacted." entry has been created.

Some days ago something happened. I have been contacted by an Head Hunter from London on Linkedin to ask me if I am looking for a new job, because he has a MBB Client looking for a profile like the mine.

Congratulations on being contacted by a headhunter! Navigating the world of job opportunities is like going on an exciting hunt for the perfect career. Like the precision required in hunting, understanding the terrain is critical. For those interested in the unique hunting experience in South Africa, the recommended resource 1 offers valuable information. It's an exciting mix of professional pursuits and adventurous pastimes, highlighting the variety of landscapes we travel through in our personal and professional lives. We wish you good luck on your career path!

This does happen from time to time - it just means that your profile looks like it could be a good fit for them! This first call is usually just informational/screening, to allow you to learn more about the opportunity and allow them to learn more about you and your background. If this is something you may be interested in, I think there is little downside to taking the initial call!

Yes, this happens all the time. Consulting firms actively use headhunters to source talent, particularly in times like these when there is a talent shortage.

It should be a friendly call, to understand your motivations, explain you the role, get your updated CV, validate you want the job and, of course, confirm that you are suitable to be presented to their client.

Please understand that there is no guarantee at all that you'll even interview.

With the headhunter it is usually a simple initial screening to see if there is alignment on motivation/salaries/position. If everything works well, they will move you to the interview stage with the MBB.

MBBs do use headhunters to recruit for specific profiles. They are often industry/functional practice roles where the recruiting is done regionally but the role doesn't necessarily need to be based in a specific country. If you are interested, I would definitely explore!

Hi Ken,Thanks a lot for your information. Yes I am really interested, so I am ready to do all my best for this opportunity.Do you have some advices about what is the most important things that Head Hunters consider valuable during this first interview? Thanks again!

Hi Ian, thanks a lot for your advices!Yes, I am really interested, I have always been interested in MBB even if I have never had the courage to send my application :)So yes, I am ready to know more about this opportunity.I will check your resources, many thanks.Do you have some advices about what is the most important things that Head Hunters consider valuable during this first interview? Thanks again!
