Did you guys manage to get flying yesterday?
I was up Stronend about 4ish but too strong for me so back home for tea.

Not all of us! It was 'challenging groud-handling' for a while but Jan and me managed the "window" - a little of soaring and a nice soft landing 10min walk to the car. Cheers - Pierre

Managed a 20 min flight at Stronend last night with Simon and Alistair.
Was 15 plus at top we came below crags twas nice smooth 10-12's so launched.
Found a little lift above Skiddaw to play in but not enough to get high. Maybe next year then 😁

I saw a couple of cars on my way to Craig's at the fintry end, didn't see any wings tho. We had a nice night, Craig soaring low chucking it around, me topping off just below 1800' messing about in my pod. It was endless lift until about 7 dunno why stronend was a bust. Made up for a shit Sunday....

I presume you were flying the East side of the 'V' in Buckies? I didn't think there'd be enough N to fly there last night!?!

It doesn't need much, later in the day the sun can make the ridge work better. I wAs only arriving at 4, saw the messages on telegram assumed folks were finished. Saying that I only get 3G on the tops out that way. Don't know why stronend side wasn't working great, direction looked spot on. We pretty much tossed a coin to fly stronend or buckies.
