I will be in Scotland in August and would like to try out paragliding. Can you please give me further details about the activity?

Hi Jess,

where abouts in Scotland will you be staying?

There are a number of qualified tandem pilots in Scotland who can take you for an 'air experience' flight, or an instructor could give you a more involved day or half day taster session if you like.

Paragliding is quite weather-dependent, so it's a bit difficult to book it down to a precise day. If you know you're going to be in a certain part of Scotland for a certain period of time, it's probably best getting in touch with an instructor who can give you a tandem experience or taster lesson as you wish. They will keep you informed of the weather closer to the time, and  advise you on the best day to go.

It sounds a bit complicated and upredictable, I'm sure. That's part of the beauty of free flight - when it works the way you'd hoped it would, it feels like magic!

Anyway, here's some good instructors, sorted by area:

Paolo Belezze - Aberdeenshire - Sky Camp - phone: +447714470297 email: myg...@theskycamp.uk web: https://facebook.com/SkyCamp.Scotland/

Zabdi Keen - Arran (western isles) - Flying Fever - phone: 01770820395 / 07717712727 web: flyingfever.net

Peter Shields - Lanarkshire / Central Scotland - Cloudbusters - Phone: +44 7899 878509 web: http://Www.cloudbusters.co.uk

Good luck, I hope you have a great time!

Sam

Hello Sam, thanks for your reply... we will be going round Scotland from edinburgh to aberdeen to inverness and down to glasgow. We'll try going to ochils hills and check the weather... maybe we're lucky and manage to try out paragliding.
