Hi JIm and All:
Did you see a posting that the time frame has changed for release of frequencies?
I think we should start narrowing down the costs...
AND after the holidays meet somewhere/sometime for a work session(s).
I will send a copy to each of you (on the list as I know it) of our demographics.

    Hi all -

Finally off a most dreadful gig (but hey - paid my property taxes!) and
have the energy to get this radio thing moving again.

I ask folks not be particularly swayed one way or the other by any sort
of preliminary reactions - but rather get/stay on track and prepare both
internal proposals as well as begin to gain community support.

To the second - I'd like to put something on the discuss list - as well
as in the ffn - something to let people know that an amazing opportunity
exists for the fair - and to give it some attention.

We have tons o' time - especially if the app isn't expected to be
happening until June (I was earlier thinking winter, 2013) - so time to
lay the necessary groundwork and do this right.

    Thoughts?

Suggestion:

We re-draft the proposal - reducing the financial stuff to what we want - period.

We get a 'sense of the board' type thing onto the Janurary or Feb agenda - paxton?..can such be done?

Such would not commit anyone to anything - but at least let us go out into the community (local and global) to see what we've really got to work with....this in addition to charlie being able to do a lot by virtue of his job.

We then plan to present our findings - including potential sponsors, partners, etc -at the April bod meeting - and at that time seek $1K or so for the engineer - unless we are able to locate an angel (requiring the sense of the bod to even approach) to cover that tab.

I'd like to drop this whole thing on the discuss list - - draw out the usual criticisms and probably grow our work group - and then get something into the Jan ffn -

So- initial targets being - Discuss list - soon; FFN - Jan or feb, Full BOD resolution in April; prepare Application with engineer - April/May - Submit in June.

Are you asking for general feedback from folks? Will you ask people on the Discuss List to take some sort of action? Or will you be only asking for the usual criticisms/feedback? We want to grow this work group, so will you selectively ask individuals to join, or will you include instructions on how to sign up for this OCFRadio list in your message for anyone who wants to join up?

I only ask because I'm interested in seeing which direction it goes.

BTW, I hadn't noticed that the date had changed. Glad it was brought up.
