Dear Jim; It's happening. On November 30, the FCC will announce rules that community groups need to finally apply to start a community radio station. It’s been a twelve year fight to arrive at this moment, and together, we’ve won it. But our biggest job is still ahead. As we lead the way towards the largest expansion of community radio in U.S. history, Prometheus will be helping hundreds of groups through the license application process. After years of building grassroots stations and working with the FCC, we can do the job. But we can’t do it without you. Earlier this year, we asked you to "Take Action!" and tell the FCC that the public demands more opportunities for community radio. You responded with stunning numbers, and the FCC took notice. Your voices made the difference in creating space on the dial for communities all across the U.S. to have access to radio – some areas that haven’t had the opportunity for 30 years! We’re now ready to move on to the next stage. To truly change the media landscape, stations need to be viable and sustainable. Prometheus has the skills and expertise, but we need your donation to make this vision a reality.  The average cost of supporting groups through the application process is $1,500 per group and our goal is 1,000 new stations on the air.  How much is a truly transformed media worth to you?
