Hello,

Today the program team at Fedora is excited to share the following opportunity:

Fedora Developer Position Available

LYRASIS is looking for a collaborative application developer to participate in the day-to-day maintenance, ongoing development, and community activities of the open-source Fedora application.

Fedora is a digital preservation-focused repository platform for managing and disseminating digital content. Fedora relies on Java primarily and other systems, such as relational databases. Fedora is stable, has just finished a major release, and is primarily in an adoption/maintenance phase. The program is supported by an active community of Fedora users, including code committers and technologists from multiple partner organizations. The ideal candidate will be excited at the opportunity to dive into this field and learn more about the software and the community it serves

This is a remote, part-time position (approximately 20-25 hours per week) with the potential to grow into a full-time role.

The position is part of a geographically and institutionally distributed team, and, as such, applications from candidates interested in telecommuting are welcome. North American time zones preferred

You should apply even if you do not feel that your credentials are a 100% match with the position description. We are looking for relevant skills and experience, not a checklist that exactly matches the position itself.

To apply:

See the full position description here.

Please submit your resume and cover letter at https://lyrasis.isolvedhire.com/internaljobs/664605.html

Applications are accepted until the position is filled but review of applications will begin August 29, 2022.

Feel free to get in touch if you have any questions or ideas for candidates.

Cheers,

Arran
