High level of TDS in Water

Hi,

I have checked the TDS level of water inside our Apt (D-603) and found it to be around 700-750 which is very high. 

I heard that oceanus is sourcing water from a nearby borwell through underground pipelines which is fed into a water softening plant before being supplied to the Apts.

In that  case how come the TDS level has not come down to acceptable levels (70-100 ppm)..?

Please share your thoughts on this...
