Turrimetta/Warriewood this Sunday 21 October

To all ocean swimmers,

 

Something all ocean swimmers should unite about is people putting crap in the ocean and this seems like the perfect opportunity to do something about it. It’s a bunch of surfers having a protest about ocean sewerage etc and its on Sunday a.m. at Turrimetta Beach. www.surfridernb.realsurf.com/wp1/2007/10/16/paddle-protest-to-poo-point/

 

It looks like the swim from the beach to the point is about 750m, making a return swim about 1.5k or alternatively a swim from Turrimetta to Warriewood would be about 2k by my estimate. (My estimate could be completely wrong, though). But it looks like a great swim. I reckon the best thing would be if a bunch of ocean swimmers turned up in support.
