As part of the ZAPR process the survey is where the community
will weigh in on
issues influencing the potential for change. If the community
responds as a majority for change on a certain question, the committee will
want to further examine whether the question is defined enough to make a
proposed ordinance out of it, or a proposed plan ammendment. One of
the earlier discussions on this process was that if there was any
further language refinement on survey results, after talking to the
ONA,OCC and website feedback that we would want to take the issues back to
the entire community, for their specifc approval and also include the
survey results. It is also possible that at this point, after ONA and OCC
and web discussions that we would meet with Lisa, possibly Craig Wakefield
and discuss the results of the survey and additional feedback.
It is not clear at this point, at least to me as
co-chair where we will go with the process, and there will need to be further
discussion on the matter. It will be helpful to have the results of
the survey as the 'source' of change.
The county may recommend that based on the survey
results that we will work with other unincorporated communities to study and
create new policies.
These are long work days for me in the landscape season,
so other committee folks input is appreciated, thanks Deb for helping move
things along.
