When I bought my Erlen bag support, Rob included the needed longer seatpost bolt for my Quickbeam's seatpost. All good. But now I want to "share" the Erlen with my Bantam. It has a Thomson seatpost with two bolts. Does anyone know the specs for bolts to make the Erlen work with a Thomson post? I can take one of mine out, take it to the hardware store with me, and estimate the additional length needed. But maybe one of you already know the specifics of what works well. Rob? Anyone???

Thanks!

The long and the shirt of Thompson fit

If you use their spherical washers with our longer bolts it will be fine.

While a trip to the hardware store never hurts, I should be able to help you out.  For the hardware store inclined, you will need a bolt of matching thread 15mm or more longer.  If to long they can be made shorter, fun project for a longer post someday.

Rob, when you say, "I should be able to help you out", do you mean I could buy a pair of right-sized bolts from you?  That would be great if you have them on hand, and could ship soon.  I roll out of town at the end of the month.  I'd like to get the bag support installed and tested on the new bike beforehand.  It would be great to have this option for my off-roader.

I don't have the bolts in front of me, but I seem to recall that the Thomson bolts have a slightly different rounded profile compared to other bolts in my toolbox. Take one to the hardware store when you're looking around to get a good match.

Thanks, Kevin.  I believe Rob and I worked out a solution.  I think my Thomson post includes shaped washers.  I didn't really study the bolts that closely.  But we think his bolts should work.
