I am rethinking my stable of bikes and have always admired the Rambler as potentially a great bike for commuting and all around riding. It does not appear that a new batch of frames is coming soon. So, should anyone be thinking of selling their 59cm Rambler, I am interested in buying. Color is less important than an uncut or minimally trimmed steerer tube. I am interested in f/f/hs/brakes, complete bike, or anything in between.

Erl:

The Rambler is indeed a great bike for what you've stated are your needs.  A true all rounder.  You might try contacting Rob to see if he knows of one that may be available.  Often you hear odd stories about people buying frames & never get around to building them, having too many bikes, etc.  Hopefully someone on this list can hook you up.

Dear Doug,
Thanks for the confirmation and suggestion. I communicated with Rob about a week ago. I know I will need patience on this quest.
With thanks,

It is encouraging to learn that one of my buddies is pursuing a bike I enjoy so much. I'll keep my eyes and ears on high alert my friend!

Chris,
Thank you. I appreciate it. Of course I hold you partially responsible as you post those beautiful photographs of your Rambler cruising the gravel roads of Texas! :)
All the best,
Erl
