Hello Apple fans,

There is just now a thread on CMake mailing list
http://www.cmake.org/pipermail/cmake/2013-September/055746.html
It looks like RPATH support is being improved, maybe we can take
advantage of it?

Hi Denis,

Thanks for the link. RPATH support would be a huge improvement on OSX. I always have to play with my DYLD_LIBRARY_PATH and PATH env var whenever I use an OCE install path different from /usr/local.

I checked out/compiled/installed current cmake master and will run a few tests. I don't know yet if osx rpath support requires some specific hack to our current CMakeLists.txt. If it's the case, I suggest we release this hack with oce-0.13, even if cmake-2.8.12 is not released yet.

Hello Thomas,

The outcome of this (still active) thread is not clear to me. You can
play with tests from
http://kegel.com/macosx/rpath/
to make up your mind and patch OCE CMakeLists.txt.
We can indeed modify this file even if CMake support is not yet
polished, this should not cause trouble.

No more absolute paths… would be a godsend indeed ;)
