Dear members of the OCD community,

Hello. My name is Richard Lopez. I am Ph.D. candidate in clinical/school psychology and Adjunct Professor at Hofstra University in Hempstead, Long Island, NY. My research team and I are running a study designed for children ages of 4 years, 0 months to 7 years, 11 months who are showing early signs of OCD.
Early intervention can help prevent development or worsening of this potentially chronic, debilitating condition. Treatment is offered FREE if you qualify for our non-invasive, non-medication research study.

Does your child:
-Seem to obsess over thoughts that they cannot get rid of?
-Engage in compulsive, unexplainable behaviors that they feel they must do over and over again?
-Become irritable if someone tries to stop them from engaging in these behaviors?

Examples include:
-Compulsive hand-washing/germ avoidance (aka "germ-a-phobia")
-Arranging/ordering objects in a particular way
-Checking and rechecking
-Insisting on “sameness” (toys, books, clothes, silverware, etc.)
-Tapping or counting a fixed number of times
-Doing tasks until they’re “just right”
-Continually seeking reassurance

Our treatment team can help your child overcome these fears in a safe environment.

Again, we are seeking children between the ages of 4 years to 7 years, 11 months.

Please email richar...@gmail.com to set up an evaluation at Hofstra’s clinic.

Thank you everyone.

Sincerely,

Richard J. Lopez, M.A.
