The Christ Cathedral Drama Series is an initiative of Bishop Kevin Vann and St. Luke Productions.  Now in its second season it has proven to be what the initial vision hoped it would become, a viable vehicle for evangelization using the inspiring stories of the heroic lives of the Saints as presented in a live performance dramatic art form.  The Freed Theater, at Christ Cathedral, seems to have been built for just such an event… centrally located in all of Southern California, intimate setting, GREAT sight lines in every seat and a warm spirit of welcome and hospitality. 

Over the past 18 months, we have presented 8 different productions, typically on a Friday through Sunday run of three performances.  We have learned a great deal about the audience, the theater, and the experience.  We are now ready to take it to the next level.  To do this, we need YOU.  As a leader of one of the dynamic Movements of the Holy Spirit here in Orange County, you know what it is to evangelize at the grassroots level…person to person, relationship building, by individual invitation.  As we seek to share this effort of the New Evangelization with an ever greater audience, we are looking for your help.  And to that end, Bishop Vann invites you and your organization’s core team of leaders to join us on Thursday, January 26 at the Freed Theater for a special private Showcase Performance of Therese, The Story of a Soul, hosted by the Diocese of Orange, the Orange Catholic Foundation, and Catholics at Work.   This special evening for movement leaders and other grassroots evangelists will include a reception at 6:00 pm before the performance curtain at 7:00 pm, and a meet greet with Audrey Ahern, who performs the role of St. Therese, and also Leonardo Defilippis, the Producer, Director and Executive Director of St. Luke Productions.  Our evening will also include an opportunity for dialogue and feedback about the experience. 

There is NO cost to attend, however seats ARE limited and you will need to reserve your seats in advance online , which are available only while supplies last. Not only have we invited leadership from movements across the diocese and parishes, but every Deacon, Deacon Candidate, Deacon Aspirant and their wives.  We anticipate a FULL house, so please make your reservations in advance online TODAY!
