Calling All Cursillistas:Time again for School of Leaders.
Saturday
This month we will be hosting Kim Rickard as a guest Rollista to feature the Total Security Rollo she recently presented. Kim has consistently served the Movement in any capacity which needed expert help, and her Total Security rollo will give us a great topic for grouping. Please plan on considering our guest's talk from the standpoint of reviewing the presentation as if it were presented at a formation meeting for team consideration.
We will ask for both an initial review (as in "the whole team") and a "senior" review (as in "just the gray hair reviewers"). Our goal is to help clarify the job each of us performs when one of those tasks comes to a team from a rector or rectora. Please be sure and review the Total Security Rollo before Saturday so the grouping will be more valuable than just hitting the target cold.
Last Month's SOL
Once again, it seems only right to thank Nick Williams for arranging last month's appearance by Juan Ruiz, the Coordinador Nacional, Hispano Movimiento Nacional de Cursillos. I know all who attended felt that the experience was amazingly moving, both in terms of the talk by our brother Juan, and based on having the chance to participate in a decade of the Rosary led by a friend of our Movement's founder, Edouardo Bonin.
Thanks Mike
On another matter flowing from the SOL, many of us owe a debt of thanks to Mike Gilmore for an auction prize he created based on the Shroud of Turin presentation from an SOL meeting. Mike was responsible for creating a memorable day at the Santiago Retreat Center which brought Father Ray Skonezny in to celebrate Mass, followed by a "Study" experience at the Shroud of Turin Center on the Retreat Campus.
Thanks also to Judge Dave Belz and Lee Sweeney who made the presentation possible. We enjoyed the talk at our School of Leaders meeting, and it was even more powerful hearing it at the Shroud Center with the amazing pictures of the cloth that covered our Lord in the tomb following the Crucifixion. Everyone left with a sense of awe for the opportunity Mike created.
We look forward to seeing everyone on Saturday.
In Christ,
Don Hunsberger
