Tomorrow: Join concerned Vermonters in demanding justice for police violence against protesters engaged in civil disobedience. 

In light of the tragic police violence toward peaceful protesters Burlington residents are coming together Tuesday August 28th, tomorrow night, at 6pm at the Burlington Police Station to call for our unique social fabric and trust to be repaired through an independent investigation and meaningful accountability. 

Burlington's Mayor has let the Burlington Police Investigate themselves as to whether shooting protesters performing civil disobedience on July 29th was justified. The report itself is marked by many factual errors and misrepresentation and a sheer lack of accountability that many feared would be the result of having an organization with such a vested interest investigate themselves. Tuesday August 28th, let's all come together as Vermonters and demand the independent investigation and accountability Burlington needs to heal its unique social fabric.
