Hi friends,

Please call those City Councilors, sign the attached petition and help us pack City Council tomorrow night, Monday October 29th!

Tomorrow is our last chance to speak out against the police violence towards Vermonters engaged in civil disobedience on July 29th. We need an independent inquiry; not the same police who shot Vermonters with munitions and pepper spray to clear themselves of any wrongdoing.

As climate change intensifies, the economic crisis grinds on, and the Tar Sands pipeline comes home to roost, it's going to be really important Vermonters can do civil disobedience without being shot by police munitions and pepper spray.

Without majority support by the council, this resolution cannot be passed, so I am urging you, especially if you live in a ward other than Ward 3, where both city councilors are already on our side, to A. Come to the meeting and speak at public comment period, B. Call or email your city councilors and encourage them to vote for the resolution, C. contact other people and encourage them also to do so.

Please take a minute to sign and share this petition, which hundreds of Vermonters have already signed:
