How many people would like to meet at the Park an hour before the picnic starts to have a strategic planning meeting?  We need to discuss the next steps now that the mission statement has been written.

We were going to survey the Facebook friends before the general community.  But since Mark is itching to start the canvassing regarding the housing issues, I think we should jump right to that.  We need to be strategic on how we canvass people.  It should be a time to both give and get information.  We need to come up with both what we're going to ask people and what we're going to tell them.  We need to decide if we are going to do this individually or in groups and if we are going to speak to individuals or to groups or both.  We need to prepare outreach material.

Who is up for a meeting at 10:30?  I know we have gardening planned for 9-12.  But we can't do the meeting after, because the Occupy forum is at 1.  I think this would be a good opportunity as most of us are planning to be at this picnic.  Alternatively, we could do it after the Occupy forum at 4.  But I would imagine more people are going to the picnic than the forum.  I could be wrong.

Please reply ASAP.

Thanks,
Lauren

The Mission Statement has yet to be approved.
We need to announce meetings at the GA before we do them.
We need a point person to be at GAs.
I presented the Mission Statement for approval at the GA (and I'm not even on the WG anymore).
FYI, I am currently adding the changes we came to consensus Thursday to include and it will go back to the GA on Monday.
The fact that no one on the SPWG knows this stuff is a problem.

The questions and what we tell the people when we canvass should go through the GA before we do the action.

Have fun at the picnic!

Cheers,
Deborah
