Wow!!! lol, they're getting as bad as the government with the whole censorship thing. Animal Farm is coming to mind for some reason....

I've been thinking for a while that some group in Occupy, perhaps the original organizers of OWS, is not even completely opaque, but off the radar completely, and are doing the strategizing for the next push. The reason I'm suspicious is because it CAN'T be just us (incl. the National Strategy Dialogue call) who are talking about this stuff. But where and who are they? (Maybe it's just wishful thinking?) I actually tweeted someone intimately involved in OWS asking about what they're doing in regards to strategizing and she never even responded. :P

I like this point he makes: "Those with obligations that prevent full time participation or that have no convenient way to regularly visit Occupy need to have some way to connect to it." Maybe those who can't make it to GAs can e-mail their requests or perspectives to be discussed? Or if it's being livestreamed, those who are watching can vote? Also, thinking of non-GA ways to be involved would be good....

btw, "The Tyranny of Structurelessness" could have easily been written about Hollywood...

Maybe....

As for tonight, I can't; gotta do training for the Mastro conference call so the National strategy call will actually happen this week!!! Hope it goes well with the mission statement! :)

When Freedom was livestreaming a GA one night that was voting on a few things, we, the 60 people who were watching her stream, participated in the vote like a break out group.  You can't really make substantive comments in the chat window.  But it's better than nothing.

Yes.  We need to present our mission statement, and I would like to discuss the homeless town hall meeting/TV show/Project Healthy Neighbors ideas that we've been batting around on the discussion group.

Awesome. No one denies the value and necessity of Ustreaming the GAs, it comes down to people being committed to show up and do it. We've had some streamed, but of the 4 who've done it previously unfortunately none continue to attend due to work obligations & schedule conflicts.

So by all means feel free to reach out and find folks who can stream. More the better.

Is Sky Adams (aka Cross_x_bones) one of the 4? Freedom?

Sky came once, as did Freedom. In Jan I think.

Who knows what one needs to do it with a regular smart phone?  Do you need to have a mobile hot spot, whatever that is?  Will the phone microphone be enough to capture the sound, or do you need an external one?  How about an extra light?  When I watch the LA GA, I can't see the face of the person talking unless there is a separate light shined on that person.

I'm FB friends with both. I'll see if I can get a response by tonight or at the very least Thursday night.
